On November 13, FerroTec Thermoelectric Division organized a lecture on the theme of happiness psychology in the workplace, with Mr. Dong, master of Applied Psychology from Fudan University, as the keynote speaker. At the beginning of the lecture, Teacher Dong began by talking about the three elements and importance of workplace happiness: Workplace happiness covers people's satisfaction with their work, their participation and concentration in work, and the harmony between work and personal life, which has a crucial influence on personal health, work efficiency and team atmosphere. Then, Teacher Dong threw out 20 anxiety tests to the employees present. Through the answer test, we have a deeper understanding of their own psychological conditions, but also learned some physical and mental knowledge related to anxiety.

In the second stage of the lecture, Teacher Dong proposed that "the psychological basis of workplace happiness is to follow Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory", and focused on the basic concept of Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory. The theory describes that humans have five levels of need, physical, safety, social, respect, and self-actualization, usually arranged in a pyramid hierarchy. What we need to think about is where each of us is, what kinds of needs we can get happiness from, and what ways can help us get happiness.

In response to the last question, Dong gave a unified answer: we all have a key to open the door to workplace happiness, that is the "magic dopamine". Dopamine is produced in two different forms. For example, when we finish a game or go on a long vacation, intense, momentary pleasure can create a huge psychological gap. On the other hand, it's a little bit longer: for example, make a reasonable task plan: finish a report in 2 hours, read a book in a week, exercise and eat light. And when these tasks are completed in the agreed time, the happiness we get is full and abundant. It follows that, in contrast to enjoyment, the pleasure derived from the task is high quality pleasure.

Therefore, Dong encourages everyone to focus on doing every little thing seriously from now on, put down the bias for the task, and feel the release of dopamine. Although repetitive work is inevitable for everyone, we need to let go of the psychological implication of "repetition, cycle, and no end" and tell ourselves that every task is a new task, and completing a task is equal to achieving a success. Treat each task as a new challenge to keep you motivated and energized.

"Imagine if we had the opportunity to enter an ideal perfect space-time. In order to become the person you want to be, write down your annual resolutions on this chart." Dong teacher's voice just fell, everyone has fallen into meditation, each in the annual plan to fall a pen full of confidence.
